Oh Pup, why couldn't I go to the stable with brother, there are stallions there and a foal with the red mare to the hounds he's going, to chase foxes with father. I can hear the brass horn sound, can you hear its blare? Mother says little girls can't go. It's really not fair! I can ride, I can too! Hear, I'm talking to you. Yes, I know, I know, puppy you wanted to go too. I've got a hobby horse, could you be a fox? We'll play run through the meadow and scream tally-hoo. I bet you, we could play hunt without shoes and socks! * See About the poem for the Picture Contest: Briton Reviere Painting: Sympathy

Congrats on your first place win! I think this was the most imaginative entry in my contest. I see you really got into "Sympathy" and dug everything out of it that you could. I was also struck by the ease of rhyming and the easy flow of the verse.

I just enjoyed seeing all those pictures by Briton Reviere'..I also enjoyed reading your lines penned about the painting..Reads like winning material to me...Thanks for stopping by my work..Yes, the generations before us did many different jobs to survive..God has blessed the people of America letting each generation do a little better than the one before in the last few generations but I am afraid that the tables might turn again..Sara

This is a masterpiece, Debbie! Seriously...loved the way you put it all together. Woman...girls...always get the short end of the deal, but what we lack in opportunity, we make up for in imagination! :) Hugs
