Let Your Soul Shine

Sharp feelings hurt like a tack.
So blunt, you may want to strike back.

Take a deep breath, and say a soft prayer.
To blatant anger and ego, never to surrender.

Love your neighbor and practice humility.
God heals all, and provides a sea of tranquility.

Panagiota, Soul shines through the day. Reminded again, your name was derived from common Greek name for the Virgin Mary, "Panagia" or "Madonna". In English, the name directly translates to "all holy". Aptly it seems. -Richard

Richard, I hardly compare to her but I do know what you mean! I am hardly sweetness and light. See my next poem. I call it as I see it. Telling it like it is for me, works best. Thank you...Panagiota

Wise words Pangie, sometimes its best to take a deep breath and walk away. But we're only human, rise above it and be the stronger person. Tom

I do agree, Tom. And take care of oneself. I have been resting much more and put a lid on being frantic. That helps nobody. Pangie 9am 1/31/2021

This is very sweet. It's all we can do these days, just keep loving despite all the annoyance of what is going on in the world.

Soft and true Pangi. "Take a deep breath, and say a soft prayer" is often the best advice to conquer our flashes of anger. :) Linda

Happy Saturday, Linda**** I read my poems later, like now...and wonder..DID I WRITE THAT? Of course, I did. I get deep into my soul when I pen one. Not realizing at the time, it's simple truth. Indeed, anger can be quite destructive. Saing a soft prayer is better. Appreciate your taking the time to acknowledge my work! Pangie.xx
