Let Your Mind
Let your mind hold you a hostage
Let it guide your hand across the page
Where you will find a world of possibility
You will be taken beyond the city limits
Through sidewalks
Over broken memories
Past seas of people
Tossed love poems
Twisting trails
New beginnings.
Let your mind find you forgotten forests
Let it introduce you to a land undiscovered
Where words dance upon your tongue
And they light up dark corners everywhere you go
Let your hand travel across stacks of papers
Crumpled dreams
Littering the souls of those left behind
Let your mind guide you to cemeteries
Clutters of bones
Past lives
Past loves
Mothers.
Fathers.
Sisters.
Brothers.
Friends.
Lovers.
Let your mind guide your thoughts to the sky
Swirling in the sunrises
Settling in the sunsets
Opening your heart to words of enchantment
Whispers of wonder
Muttering guidance
Hope.
Faith .
Love.
And when your eyes awake
You will be able to see
Art and beauty unexplainable
Notebooks filled with words
Memories of the places you have been.
