Let There Be Peace

Let us all see peace and not war, Feed the hungry and help the poor. We should all respect peace with real reverence, And rid this world of apathy and violence. When you search for peace then it is not hard to find. Our God’s love is real, everlasting, and kind. As I open my eyes I begin see, That peace begins with you and me. We cannot control outside. But we can control inside. I believe first we have to take on more responsibility. Let’s show the next generation how to have more self-dignity. The ignorance of peace is created out of fear. The honest truth nobody seems to care. Amid strife and sorrow, I prayed for peace today and tomorrow. So do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid, Through Jesus Christ the ransom has been paid. Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal. Martin Luther King, Jr.
