Let Them Flow

On those gray, cloudy, days, when fog lingers
When time slows down and thoughts bring on old tears,
Let them flow through the pen in your fingers

When suddenly, land feels empty with fears
Hold onto daylight, because it’s still there
When time slows down and thoughts bring on old tears,

Simplicity is still everywhere
The green moss shines where all the chipmunk play
Hold onto daylight, because it’s still there

The birds are singing with plenty to say
The world may be whirling, but there is peace
The green moss shines where all the chipmunk play

Right in front of you, calmness can increase
Welcome the moment, make it oh, so bright!
The world may be whirling, but there is peace

Skies gray or blue, it’s still you’re flight
On those gray, cloudy, days, when fog lingers
Welcome the moment, make it oh, so bright!
Let them flow through the pen in your fingers

Beautiful as the nature it describes. Delightfully rhythmic poem, Heidi. You always shine in this form. Into my FAVES.

Beautifully-written, Heidi, with marvelous rhymes, but even more thoughtful scenes. Love it.
