LET THEM DOWN

Let Them Down They thought they could shape me, mold my soul into a fragile thing, but I’ve made up my mind. Let them down gently? No, I’ll let them fall hard, onto the truths they ignored, the silence I’ve carried. Their words were arrows, but I became the wind, pushing back with every breath. I’m not what they say. I’m the voice they tried to bury, the light that blinds when ignored. Let them down, let them fall— because I’ve risen.
