Notes About The Poem

Let the Weekend Begin

Young Sally’s on the town with friend Kurt 'Let the weekend be GIN’s' on her shirt They both hit the bottle Drink gin at full throttle Both plastered, boozy heads will sure hurt Sal’s stomach is gurgling and churning Wide awake, she’s tossing and turning Noise drills into her brain Kurt’s snoring like a train For shut-eye poor Sally’s now yearning! only 15 mins but it was so lovely to see her looking so well, i did alphabet games with her boys name, girls name, place, animal and food - she went through each of the 5 categories from A - Q so her brain is still active which pleases me no end:-) will see her same time next week:-) hugs jan xx

My sister, unfortunately, is married to a man whose snore is the loudest I've ever heard. It reverberates throughout the house. Enjoyed the humor. Congrats on your place in the contest! Hugs, carolyn

very well done for Carolyn's contest. I really like this a lot, Jan. That last one sure hits home. Joe's asthma makes his breathing very weird and I am having even more insomnia hearing him as I try to sleep!
