Notes About The Poem

Let the Sun Shine

inhibited
by the shackles of low esteem
she staggers
under the weight
of suppressed emotions

WOW Paul, what a clever, clever, eloquent, poignant write, without looking below, I would give this POTD twice running. I think if a student does not blend into a particular scolastic environment, it can lead to major problems going forward into adulthood. Yet often ,the most seemingly outgoing people, are the ones that harbor 'suppressed emotions' and 'shackles of low esteem'. Kindest regards, Jennifer.

This shows how crippling depression can be, I have carried the shackles of low esteem myself so this one struck a cord with me~

I blame social media for hyping it up on how people should be and many fail to live up to it, and then it's a downward spiral. Hope you're well Paul, enjoy your weekend. Tom

Thank you, Tom....and yes, I agree with you. Many fear that they are under-achieving, and this could lead to mental problems, especially anxiety, stress and depression. ~ Best regards, my friend // paul
