Let Spring Come

Winter hasn’t yet gone
It is desperate and stubborn
And it is hovering on
I am awaiting spring to come
with all its magic and charm
Tulips will burst into colors
Fauna will breathe in dew
Robins will nest on bushes
And flora will flourish with hue

I gaze through the window
and view spring blur
It sings and dances
at a distance on spurs
My backyard, plants
and shrubs I need to clean
I will nourish the soil
for spring to thrive and seed
So I gesture winter to leave.
