Let Somebody Love You

You should let somebody love you,
   open up your heart to the wonders that could be;
a softening of your soul set free
   from the inner darkness that drowns you.

Come out of the shadows
   the dark places where you hide;
here comes the light and dreams unbridled
   if you let me be the one by your side.
