Let Me Tell You How It Is
here are some good hints:
don't bother being honest.
everyone will call you
a liar anyway.
in fact, you probably are
a liar.
love is hollow.
all you love does not
love you.
love will fade. love
is not impervious
to entropy.
why would it be?
when you die, that's it.
you'll sit in the ground
and decompose
until your remains
are mixed with the soil.
then, in millions of years
when the sun explodes
all that you are and were,
a few granules of dirt,
shall be melted
into atoms
and absorbed by darkness.
lastly, god definitely exists.
he doesn't love you at all whatsoever, though.
he's barely aware of your existence.
sorry.
