Let Me Take You For a Ride

Let me take you
For an ride
From my words
You cannot hide
Put the belt on
Get yourself tied
Here’s some water
It gets dusty
From the tears
That have dried
Look to the left side
Watch my life
Pass you by
It happens every time
See my friends
Say good bye
Look to the right
And listen to me
The trip will never end
Do you see
What I could’ve been
All my possibilities
Listen to those tires scream
Like the voices
Of loves who broke my dreams
Faster were building steam
My choices
Burned up in gasoline
Relax were almost there
See that sign
Now look behind
Those are my lost memories
Left in my lost box
I never want to find
Well now here’s our stop
Time to get off
Watch your step
It’s a long drop
Thanks for the time
You now see
I really tried
Thanks for letting me
Take you for my ride.
