Let Me In (Volcano)

Anger boils, and tempers flare.
Sometimes we scream, sometimes just stare.
You keep bitter emotions rotting within,
until they erupt all over again.
Just like a volcano;
Gorgeous, then fierce.
Outcomes always result in tears.
You tell me you need me; You bed me to stay.
I do, yet it kills me
to see you this way.
What happened to the sweetheart that I once knew?
I know that he's in there; Darling, I long for you.
You've given me your heart,
now if you'll just let me in
before it erupts all over again.

Good one Ashley, I know how you must feel in this situation, been there also. And volcano is a good description, you never know when they will blow up. Thanks for the review on my poem,"I Stiil Think Of Her", glad that you liked it..Danny Nuu

It must be difficult to love someone who erupts time and time again. Wish I could offer some advice on how to find again "the sweetheart (you) once knew." Perhaps counseling? In any case, we all know people who are like this and tend to stay away from them. I hope he finds his way back to the person you once knew before it is too late. Very compelling poem, Ashley! Love, Carolyn

I can feel your pain and longing through these lines. Anger is often the result of some sort of fear beneath. I hope things will get better for you. Well written poem. Thanks for sharing, Caroline.
