Let Me Have the Car Keys
I absolutely know, and don't merely think
that you had way too much to drink.
Yes, one more time you overindulged tonight.
At the moment, you don't look to be very right.
I don't know if it was whiskey, wine, or beer.
All I know is that you imbibed an excess here.
Perhaps the bartender did not notice somehow.
You should not be sitting behind the wheel right now.
Nobody in their right mind should let you drive tonight.
You won't make it home before the dawn's early light.
Let me have the keys, and I will get you home safely.
Be thankful you have a sober friend like me.
