Let Me Go
Well, you took advantage of me
Yeah, you never let me go free
Devour me whole if you can, if you can
I’m in the Arizona sun, trying to get a tan
Made over a thousand poems
They are each my unique gems
You’re amazing…you’re amazing…
I am star-gazing…and I’m eye-gazing…
Superficial shame embraced me…free me…
Artificial happiness cuts me open
Set me free and let me be…me…leave me be…
You always step all over me again
You took me higher than the clouds above
Darling love, you know exactly what I think of
Yeah, you never let me go truly free
Because you took advantage of me
