Let Me Deserve It
You say that everything somehow come down to me,
that I’m reason for you wrongs, whatever they might be.
If, somehow, I disappeared then things would be all right,
I’ve been here from the start, won’t leave without a fight.
You’re speaking, and freaking,
a tantrum, so damn glum,
you think you’re explaining,
instead it’s just blaming.
Tell me how did we get here,
why do you look so burdened?
If I’m gonna be blamed for sh-t,
at least let me deserve it.
You look back to history to drag up bad facts,
like to throw them in my face, when all context you lack,
ignoring the truth of things, ignoring your own role,
blocking out what you don’t like, so you won’t pay the toll.
You’re shout, not doubting,
projecting, deflecting,
you claim that it’s ‘virtue,’
but it makes us hate you!
Tell me how did we get here,
why do you look so burdened?
If I’m gonna be blamed for sh-t,
at least let me deserve it.
I do not know why I
try to explain my side,
you’ve got your narrative,
no real thought will you give.
You just won’t understand,
or you choose to be damned,
go play your stupid games,
but I will take no blame!
You’re moaning, and groaning,
so proud of not knowing,
complaining, defaming,
and mad about all things!
I know just how you got here,
I know why you’re so burdened,
but I’m not gonna be blamed for sh-t,
’cause I never deserved it.
