Let Me Be Alone
Sometimes I just want to be alone.
Let the shadow engulf me.
Let it take me a way to a darker place where no light can touch me.
Darkness grabs me and ties me down with thorned thread.
Sometimes I just want to get away.
I want to run away from it all.
I want to jump in the lagoon where no one can save me.
Let me sink to the bottom of the abyss once thought to be never ending.
Sometimes I just need to let it all out where no one can see.
Lock me away in a tower with a window on the top floor.
You'll never see me through it, but maybe you'll see a river of sorrows streaming from it.
It's amazing how much I can cry and how loud I can be yet there's no one around to notice.... Maybe that's just where I'll stay.
