Let Love Be Our Causality

It's not a Romeo-Juliet thing,
it isn't Cleo and her Marc Anthony;
it will not cry and cause the eyes to sting,
or meltdown in seismic catastrophe!

Love is not comedy or tragedy,
is not the happenstance of circumstance;
it's two points in orbital apogee
drawn in by gravity's alluring dance.

Ever together by the Fates decree,
until death do us part, then after that
safe in the stars we'll sail celestial seas,
with heaven as guide we'll have our navsat.

Do not waste my time with frivolity,
let love alone be our causality
