Let It Snow
As the setting sun glows orange
I can admire and feel the challenge
the solitary polar bear not there to plunge
its his lookout from where he can scavenge
Behold the wild vista, icicle towers so strange
adorn the landscape here nothing will change
unspoilt by man's hand nothing here to rearrange
here in rugged bleakness nothing to exchange
The wildness calls out to my soul beckoning
the orange sky brings peace, life can be demeaning
here the polar bear rules standing in last rays sunning
yet now the white flakes are falling in beauty stunning
