Let It Slip Away

Let It Slip Away


       I let it slip away 
                  as a glimpse of memory
                                 pierces my heart
                                           flashing like lightning 
                                                    when I met you perchance
                                                                           after an era.

     Momentarily wept silent.
                   Reminiscences rippled
                                   and faded away 
                                               leaving no trace.
                                                           I let it slip away
                                                                              forever.
