Let It Go
The ember in November, not too hot nor cold
has lit up the sky
Can we let go of grudges and prejudices,
as we must try
As leaves fall from the trees creating a carpet of golden memories
Nature teaches us it’s time to let go and recharge our batteries
If youth and beauty want to leave us behind,
let’s not fret let it go
For our smiles like the moon will light up our face
pleasantly so
On a bed of yellow and red, I walk with my
head held high
The same colours now reflecting in the sky.
The Autumn air cool on my face
My tears of hurt and pain have left without a trace
For like the leaves fall to the ground
leaving the trees naked and bare
Even this body we call our own will leave us behind
and all of whom we care.
