Let it Be The Beatles Who Said It All

They broke my heart too,
with honesty

"Whispering words
of wisdom"
caustic,
bitter and raw
for effect

The end is dry and nigh,

so are the shades of yellow:

the subtle meanings
where I met you
on a casual Tuesday

between caffeine intakes
and abrupt beginnings

There was always Helen Jane Long
playing 'Solus'

I need to sew a shirt
for tomorrow's race

There is always time

I try to dance
through orange hallways
of scattered apricots
and half-filled dreams
(Empty ice creams)
with Pink Floyd
cheering me on

an echo in an eggshell

and all the other shades
of my intrepid moon
