Let Her In

You think that you are
Some giant mess
You think no one could ever
Love you for who you are
And who you will become

You hide yourself from the world
You hide the fact that you
Are slowly dying on the inside
Each part of you breaking and snapping
Until you become a pile of broken dreams

 But someone loves you
Someone understands what you’re going through
And every time that you pull away
You break her heart more and more

She wants to help you
She wants to share your pain
Every feeling that you hide from her
She wants to help with

She can be your shining star
And she can show you the way out of the darkness
