Let Go of Me I Am Who I Want To Be
let go of me
i already tried your thoughts
tasty they may be
but my palate is not designed
for the corners and edges
i enjoy a different cuisine
all my own
mashed together like
gooey casserole
or plain like
a plate of carrots lightly steamed
i do not need gourmet ideas
although there are times
i crave a refined dish
or i am hankering for
a southern specialty
i enjoy most my mind
in its' plain simplicity
so leave me be
i am as i want to be
