Let Go and Let God

And, sometimes, you just have to let go and let God.
Whatever God means to you
Whatever higher power you praise, whatever force you can't deny...
Give it to them.
Let.
It.
Go.
And leave it be.
Belief is a powerful thing and faith can move mountains with peaks seemingly to big to see
As for me?
I believe in the universe, spirit, and the sea--
of all that is both within and around me.
Life is confusing, painful, and scary
Existence overall is just plain perplexing
But, when faced with adversity, hardships, and woes, at least from my experience, its better to have some help carrying the load
God.
Or the universe.
Spirit.
Or fate.
Whatever you call it, by whichever name
When you believe in something greater...
It makes living feel less in vain
I am not perfect
Not by any means
I make mistakes with the best of them
But, man, do I still fight
For the life and experience that I know is right
I know it with all my might
And my connection to the Gods up above
My faith in the vastness, the powerful, the unseen...
Only make me fight harder and always empower me
I used to write of darkness, how I felt like I could just waste away
Alone in my misery, just waiting to decay...
I will probably write of this still, cause we all have bad days
But, lately, I feel more joyous
Positive
And brave
With my attempts to reach enlightenment paving the way
I am happy
And I feel more free ever day
I thank the heavens, the light, God, the universe or whatever you'd say
That I am here in this moment
Writing this poem
And simply Succumbing to the noise
The fear
And the pain
Making way for the enjoyment and growth in yet another day
