Let Go
Scribbled notes, of times gone by,
Memories held to make you cry.
Forgotten dreams, now nightmares surround,
Fallen footsteps, don't make a sound.
Hopes perished, washed up on the sand,
Shattered from a war torn land.
Fallen comrades, drive lives insane,
Forever carrying the eternal flame.
Holding on, don't let go,
There's love out there, still on show.
Bury the past, not to be forgotten,
The whole world isn't rotten.
