Let every book
Of poetry
Be a holy book,
Every verse a revelation,
That I might
Sift metaphors through
My fingers like prayer beads,
Sip imagery like holy spirits-
If I begin to speak in tongues
Like the languages of
A thousand dreams,
Then write it down
In poetry...
