Let Drown

Upon the dusk’s cruel wake, crushed beneath the waters’ break I allow my body limp and lifeless to flow as if mere current passing Never do my limbs grasp the shallows for their hopeless sake And as for the question of “why?” I have grown tired of asking. From the depths, I hear the ocean’s bellow Her stomach grumbles as she drags me down But I do not panic, for the dark be mellow No use to swim, and so I let me drown.
