Lessons Learned, Through Tired Eyes
Sometimes you wonder
why you even bother
You feel like giving up
But then the feelings get
stronger
Maybe a dose of reality will
make them weaker
But the potency of the voices in
your head
Have you divided
No idea what it will take to
reach that high again
You've given too much of your
self to them
And it has made you spineless
Enabling them to leave you a
perfect mess
Soaring with mentally
fabricated wings
On bought time, when the
meter runs out
You fall harder than the first
rains after a drought
And it lands you back with the
rest of the cust and grime
Then it's back scrounging up
every dime you find
It will become your paradise
And it will cost you your mind
