Lessons
The world is full of phony friends
Who will chew you up and spit you out
They'll worm their way into your life
Then tear you up and throw you out
Just like yesterday's news.
I thought this love of poetry
This love of the written word
Would keep our friendship strong
But I see now, I was wrong.
But if it made you happy, if it gave
You pleasure to just discard our
Friendship like it never happened
Then it was worth it to learn a great lesson
Trust No One!!!!!!!
