Lessons

You taught me how to
     love and laugh
You taught me how to
          cry
You taught me how to
     Stand my ground
You taught me not to
          lie
You taught me how to
     follow my heart
You taught me how to
      Take pride
You taught me how to
     be prepared
You gave me wings to
          fly
But Daddy you forgot to
     teach me
how to say
          goodbye.
