Legal Doesn't Make it Right

The laws we pass aren't beyond God's sight,
And we break HIS heart by not being contrite.
We tolerate sin by voting to make things suitable,
And from our hearts depth we know its refutable.
God's laws are higher than those made by man,
But our sinful nature has endured time's span.
If we accept sinful things that don't belong,
Judgment will be swift and we'll suffer long.
