left unsaid

Knew it in moment this Wednesday
though she left last Monday
life turned, never to be the same
now my heart knows how it feels
to cherish now, what was then.

Her days carried me on a breeze
like a book that was never meant to be read
only felt in rippled waves
oh, to turn through those pages again.

Our young song' thrilling plan
traces left a forever mark on a boy
where only envy's left to the man.

Lesson one, don't be a jerk like me
fill the pages with everything your heart
has to give..
never regret the things you wished you'd done
and all those wonderful words of love
you left unsaid.

This is such a wonderful poem. Love how you’ve written it with the comparison of a book. I especially love the lines, ‘ to cherish now, what was then’ ‘ oh to turn through those pages again’ and the last few lines. Regretful. Poignant. Reflective. Loved it. Thank you for sharing this thoughtful poem. :)

And never break your heart twice, for the moment once gone,is gone for good. And in your heart you must know, there's no forever, time is misunderstood,.

The deep thoughts of love and smart reference of a book to describe a lost romance gives this beautiful poem an innovative read. I like this poem.

Awesome write, my friend. Echoes of memories haunt when things unsaid roil the thoughts and mind. ---Her days carried me on a breeze like a book that was never meant to be read only felt in rippled waves oh, to turn through those pages again--So very poetic! A FAVE!!
