Left the Nest

Everyone has gone their separate ways
It's hard when your family grows up
When their teens, you can't take another day
Then you don't see them enough

You mourn for the days you were their world
But those were sometimes hard too
Little boys and little girls
To them everything was new

I want them back, safe with me
I'm not sure who I am without them
Yet I know it's time they were free
It's time to climb my own mountain
