Left Me Twisted

Time knows no limits here
in this life plan
Striving for a perfection
and all that I demand
A future shouldn't be ruled
by ones past
but still you judged me on a life
that's been recast
fast is how we may have moved
but it was too late
Love left me dizzy, feeling
what we had was fate
Hiding from something
we just couldn't see
Hoping we could prolong
what was bound to be
Within faded memories
of what once was
I now see I never did have
what I wanted, your love
In those special moments and
in time and space
Never wanting it to end or
ever to be replaced
But I see it in your eyes
and the look on your face
Those tender moments have
been gone so long
How could this splendor
ever have been so wrong
Wished you’d stop and
remember your reasons
For our future that in fact
should have been pleasing
Yet you Instigated every
feeling then insisted
In the end only confirmed
how your cruelty left me twisted
