Left Me Blue

You broke my heart and left me blue
and all these years I kept loving you
A stubborn heart to broken to mend
never would let me love again.

Each day I worked away
Every night alone I stayed
Always knowing you would return
but those bridges you long burned.

In solitude I ask myself why
a new love I never tried
but your hold on me too strong
I love you always right or wrong.

Alas you died I had to go
like a ghost amongst shadows
I watch you buried into your grave
dark my heart for the love I craved.

Now I know it will never be
but somehow your love holds me
I will always keep loving you
with my broken heart, you left me blue...
