Left Behind

Awakened one morning at 3 am
By the noise of a trumpet sound
I turned on the light and searched thru the night
But my family was not to be found

Someone had taken my family
While I slumbered away in my sleep
What kind of thief would cause me this grief
And that's when I started to weep

I thought, "What if this is the Rapture,
That the Saviour had spoken about?"
I fell to my knees and said, "God help me please"
"Forgive me for all of my doubt"

And though I've read the Scriptures
I never thought that this day would come
I was weak in belief when He came like a thief
How could I have been so dumb

The mark of the beast is my future
Unless His Sweet Mercy I find
A martyr I must be til my soul is set free
For those who are left behind

For me this was only a horrible dream
But for many this dream will be true
The King's on His way it could be today
Thank God I'm ready are you?
