Lee's Magic Tunnel Car Wash

There is a place in our town
where magic still occurs.
You put your junk in,
you wait a while…

It’s fun to watch:
you can’t really see well,
Ii’s all fuzzy and soapy at the window,
but you can hear the noise,
and you know it’s there.

At the end,
everything gets wiped off,
dried, and
Voila!
a brand spankin’ new
car comes out
clean and shiny!

If you pay a little extra,
they get out the big vacuums
and suck everything out.

But be careful with that:
I know a lady who lost
a heart locket that way…

Still enchanted after all these years!... And then of course there's the magic up-and-down box in buildings, where in steps an old man and out steps a beautiful woman a few seconds later...

Hey Jeff do you remember the first time you went through one? Were you a kid?I imagined this must be what being in a hurricane was like.Found out later much worse than imagined. Thanks for resurrecting a memory.

They'd have to have some kind of contraption to turn my car over and shake it to get out all the crap. I generally have my car detailed about twice a year...and it stays pretty for about a month. The rest of the time, it's a disaster area. Oh, for the good ol' days when we could just toss the trash out the window! ...just kiddin'
