Leaving Your Past Fears Behind

Don't be sad I"m gonna try
To wipe away tears from your eyes
That are falling down so fast
I'll help you forget the past
That's been haunting you so much
Helping hands will softly touch
You in a warm hug of love
That will take you high above
All the sorrow you have known
That has tortured you and grown
Into a dark cloud of gloom
All you feel is the doom
Of your history so long
I am gonna take the wrong
Making it right so you are free
From the painful misery
Others have cast upon you
I promise to help you through
Slowly earning back the trust
You tucked away cause its just
Been abused for many years
Locked inside from all the fears
It will finally break for good
If just one more person should
Tear it apart, leaving you
More hurtful, broken, and so blue
It won't be replaced again
I'm telling you as a friend
There will never be a day
I ever throw your trust away
It will be safe forever more
If you just unlock the door
To your heart so it can see
How true love can really be
