Leaving the Nest

What can I tell you?
That it hurts because you left the nest?
How can I tell you
That I have an arrow in my chest-
When can I tell you?
Because I see that you too feel stressed
Why should I tell you?
When you know me best
And our deep feelings can`t be truly expressed
By poems, novels, stories and all the rest
Yes, there are some things
That don`t need to be confessed

It's almost a monorhyme. I really like this but it seems more like for a lover. Usually when I think of someone leaving the nest, it's a gown child. Did you mean it as a child by chance? It can also be a man. A creative way to show that.
