Leaving

When I think about the fact that you are leaving,
It leaves me with a painful feeling in my chest,
Not even this high can get rid of that feeling,
Why did it have to happen so fast?

You told me to stay strong,
And you wont be gone for long.
I’ll just have to get used to not seeing your face every morning,
To me, it just feels too wrong.

Could you reassure me again?
That this is not it for us.
Just writing this is making my head spin,
And it makes my chest ache.

I just wish I could say another goodbye,
Just one more hug before we say bye.
