Leaves of Gold

Today I woke up to see
A Golden Peepal Tree
The wind releasing leaves of gold
They are raining down for earth to hold

So tell me Peepal tree
Your green leaves have turned to gold
Is the weight of gold too much
For your branches to hold?

Or have you borrowed the colour
Of the sun to paint its wisdom
For each gold leaf holds a story
Told to you in secret released in glory

Like a bride that takes off her jewellery
That adorns her one by one
You shed your golden leaves
For a new fresh journey has begun

I like how you have easily oozed into a personification of this tree. " have you borrowed the colour Of the sun to paint its wisdom" Great job!
