Leaves Me Wanting

Disappointment fills me yearly As I shuffle Institution from Institution Waiting to be filled with divine inspiration Staying for my money’s worth. Disappointment fills me weekly As commitments strangle my time And regularity snuffs out The dying embers of hope Glowing in my soul. Disappointment fills me daily I am ripped from dreaming beauty As the dawn beckons reality And the sun illuminates my existence Sunny narcissist pessimism.
