Leaves
From the nourishment of the Earth, they
grow colourful and vibrant, to cover the
naked branches of the trees.
To the trees, a blessing are the leaves.
No matter their size, colour, or shape,
together in unity they toil,
Day and night, rain or shine, purifying
the air not just for one living creature
but for all living creatures,
To the Living, a blessing are the leaves.
Withered and torn, they mingle in the
breath of a gentle breeze, one by one,
softly falling to the ground to nourish
the Earth.
To the Earth, a blessing, are the
leaves.
