Leaves

The bicycled leaves
pedal across the lawn
chain-linking me
to a past
fallen autumn.
When we
Could no longer be false,
exposing our true feelings.
We withered
from the cold.
Trying to rake in
"Why's"
but sometimes
love leaves,
unspoken.
