Leave Me

You're just a dark shadowy figure
Haunting the corners of my mind
Step out so I can see you
Don't tease me and taunt me
With a promise of love that I can't have
You hide there, but you're not real
An inconceivable, unrealistic wish
Of something I am not destined for
Leave the shadows and leave me be
Let me lie and let me die
Amidst the ruins of a tragic life
