Leave a Coin

When Veterans visit mates who have fallen
And now sleep in God’s care
They place coins upon the headstones
As a marker for families showing that they had paid respects

Each coin actually has its own meaning in and of itself
A penny simply means that you visited
A nickel indicates that you and the deceased trained together
A dime means you served with him in some capacity
A quarter means that you were with them when they were killed
Truly showing Lest we forget.
