Learning To Live With It

I used to think the Pain

Would never

Go away

It was an unwanted

Part of me

Part of my bones

Part of my soul

I used to wish

That I would die

Not to stop living

But to stop hurting

My fragile world would

Threaten to fall

Apart

Each time I heard

“You’ll just have to learn

To live with it”

But the amazing thing is that

I have -

And now

When the pain comes

It’s still a part of me

But it doesn’t control or

Define me

My soul wants to

Live now

And my world isn’t as

Threatening

As it

Used to

Be.

Tremendous Tremendous work you have her! I reflect so much to this poem, you don't even know how I am feeling right now! Many people think we can just forget pain like that, with a snap of a finger! Well I tell you, you cannot! I feel your pain and I share your experience!!! stay strong and everything with come into play, but pain such you and I have experience, is hard to drop, it is hard to forget! Foolish people around us think it is so easy to forget, when they never felt such pain! xoxo :)
