Learning that clouds

~
Dressed in an aura of simple decisions, worn like testament carved out in stone Leaving a pathway of honest intentions, never once knowing that I was alone Caught in a river expanding it's being, swimming for shore at the edge of the dam Seeing a valley asleep, gently dreaming, wondering if their lives rest in my hand Still there's a feeling of loss that's deceiving, places an emphasis there on my brow Wrinkles will bend if the moment is freeing, no use in futures when it is right now I am not special though time seems to find me, counting the minutes that pass in the sky Learning that clouds are a friendly reminder, that someday soon everyone has to die

Your 'bit of inspiration' sure moves me deeply, Chris. Thank you for posting this one. And don't be a stranger, now... In Clouds there is Clarity, Gershon

That hits like a bolt of lightning, Chris. Some days clouds seem to just slowly drift by. On others they swiftly move with a dark purpose. The truth in your lines is that they are constantly changing shape... nothing lasts forever? Good to see you posting. I've not been around much in the last couple of weeks and writing lots lately.

Thanks so much Lin. Just passing through once again. Found a bit of inspiration (The opening line) and ran with it.
