Learning Life

If I'd only listened closer I'd better understand.
But a young boys mind wanders,
And finds a home when he's a Man.
A few things I'd have done differently,
but most would stay the same.
My wife,my kids, my family that love will never change.
I hope maybe one day that some knowledge I can pass along,
Be it from my mouth, my heart,or even in a song,
I only want to leave sweet memories when this Earth I'm no longer on,
the kind that produce a smile not tears to the ones that carry on.
